Default UGh..I thought it was working :( Please look here..

Has this happened to anyone else?

I started met in august and got my period after 3 weeks of taking it. I ovulated and then got my period again on cycle day 40. I also ovulated after that once again. But now, I am on cycle day 42 and have had cramps, backache, sore breasts..but no AF

I was sooo happy when I thought the Met was working. I was sooo irregular before and since we are ttc...I thought this was finally it for us. But what happened now???? did the met stop working....or do I still have a chance?? I take 1500 mg's a day. I truly hope this didnt stop working already...did this ever happen to anyone else before??? Please let me know!

This may be a dumb question, but did you try a pregnancy test?

I've noticed that with Met I get symptoms of AF much earlier than usual. Like a week. I'll get cramps and backaches long before I usually would have now that I'm on Met

It took me about 10 weeks to get my period on met and then after a couple of months of thinking I was normal, they started spreading out..up to 60+ days. I was so frustrated.

Then 6 months later I started eating to control my blood sugar with the IR diet and things have been 28-32 days ever since. In the research I have done, i found out why. My diet was actually counter-acting the drug..the sugar spikes I was causing when I ate my usual high carb diet were counter-acting the meds and that's why things got so hairy again. It's harder to manage your sugar unless you eat to keep insulin stable. So if you haven't started, I urge you to try it. I will never under-estimate what goes into my mouth again!

Hope it can help.
