The winds here are 70mph so far! Been warned to stay indoors!

Thanks Jess.... it's yucky here in London - rainning and strong wings but nothing too major although from what I heard it will get worse throughout the day and the worst is to come tonight/tomorrow morning up here.....
aww, thanks girls im ok, thanks. Terrible wind/rain the in the night - but now it is windy/raining but not terrible. Due to be worse later on, i think .Dont know how Sarah Louise is, though. She lives miles away from me.
not too bad in scotland, had heavy rain and high wind but its not that bad, i think its mostly southern england/wales/southern ireland thats affected just now, ive heard a few reports that its getting worse here today and ive also read we are to get snow in scotland so we will see how it goes

The wind and rain is literally battering my windows right now, it's so bad that I'm fearful my windows won't hold.. but then saying that, they've been through all sorts lately.. gales, earthquakes..

It is really bad in work but Im not that far from the coast so thats why is soooo bad. I just hope that my house will be ok !! ha ha I already have missing tiles on my roof dont want a missing roof too !!
OK here in fact the sun is even out. Raining earlier and in the night. On the Vale of York, we're used to the winds coming 70mph and more as it's flat for 20 miles here, nothing to stop it - like the Russian Steppes sometimes! So long as the river stays low, we'll be OK. In the wind a few weeks back, a 100' tree opposite my house fell down, but luckily fell the other way. Had it come this way it would have been on our car and house! Am off to the uni archives to do some research this after, whatever the weather!

Glad everyones ok! I have the house to myself till tomorrow afternoon and dont plan on going anywhere lol, have a lovely bubblebath and chill out with my lil doggies
SW England seems to be holding strong. Plenty of wind, rain and even some hail early this morning, but it's improving. I live on a hill, so I'm not really sure how it is closer to the river, but I've not heard anything really terrible.
It has brightened up a little here in bristol, though listenin to ppl at work its meant to get bad again (could end up workin on the flood line as we do the overflow for it).
Seemed like too much to ask for a decent nights sleep last night, and all i have done now for the last 8days is work, inc til 3am sunday, and i was tucked up in bed at 9pm last night! but no, toomuch wind at 1am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The heather has brightened up to but around 5ish is it supposed to take a turn for the worse apparently this is the worse storm we have had since 87 or something
