hi guys! im only taking MET at the moment, when i first had my hospital appointment the doctor said i should lose weight or they cannot help me. on my next appointment (6 months later) i had lost a little wieght and he just said i need to continue to lose weight and made an appointment for me in 6 months. 1 year later im still on MET.
anyway my point is, i am TTC and my next appointment is in july. should i ask him to give me some clomid? or should i just wait till he gives it to me. he knows that i am TTC.

I was on met antenatals, low dose aspirin, vit c, b6 and 12, folic acid, and took clomid to get pregnant. Stopped met at 14 weeks, but kept aspirin and vitamins because of previous m/c's. Also aspirin helps keep away pre-eclampsia so will continue that to 34 weeks.

Boomzflip, definitely ask your doc for the clomid! I have learned in my ttc journey that you never wait for the NHS to offer something.

Hi, Im on metformin, clomid, folic Acid and also taking suppleme (multivitamin, CLA, Omega 3). Am with a private consultant and Dietician in London (London Endocrine Clinic) and these guys have changed my life. Have lost 1 1/2 stone and have another 1/2 stone to go. Weight loss is slower now as I am now within normal BMI range and so its harder to shift the last few kilos, but I am getting there. Have now regularish periods but still not conceived so fingers crossed it will happen for me soon

Hi everyone,

I am on metformin 1000mg, prenatals, omega 3 & agnus castus.

I am new to sc and still trying to get my head round how these posts work!! Can I ask a question here about other herbs/natural remedies or is there somewhere else I need to do that?
Thanks

I am currently on Metformin 1500mg a day, Clomid 100mg on cycle days 3-7
and i have raised cholesterol so am on simvistatin too.

Question for you UK ladies, my doctor (who i have been seeing for past 6 years) said i can try the clomid a few more times, if that doesnt work then the only other option is IVF as i have a daughter already. SO thats it, clomid or nothing.....what options were you given and what have you tried. pm me if you like xxxx

obviously im not a doctor and i dont know anything about u, or ur case, but there are more fertility treatments out there it is just very dependant on ur NHS trust and their policies, the doctor ur seeing is it ur gp or a gyaneocologist, im thinking its ur gynaecologist if so he probably is doing what he thinks is best for u but remember if you arent happy you can always ask for a second opinion, if its ur gp you should ask to be refered to a gyanecologist for further assessment

if u really cant afford for IVF then i would definitely look at other avenues dont let your doctor fob you off ask him whyhe thinks this etc find out his thinkin and question it so you get out of it what u want

Good luck sorry i cant b more help
