I know that feeling I am aiming to get my BS in the morning 7 and under as that is what the dr wants me to try and achieve... I have woken up with them as high as 18..

although today was better I was 8.4 but since October I have been having horrendous problems trying to stabilise them. I thought I had got a bad case of flu, eventually went to see my dr and she did a load of blood tests and she called me to tell me that I had glandular fever and another virus, that was in december and I am still having bad days. I think it has gone as I feel semi alright, and then I will wake up and feel like I am back at square one again, so trying to get my BS sorted out is a real nightmare...
lol yup you should know about it, as should I... I am a qualified nurse and have nursed many diabetics and the last place I worked was an amputee unit where the majority of patients were diabetics. I had to give up nursing due to another health problem. When I was diagnosed diabetic it was like oh hell no not me, and for about 5 years I didn't come to terms with it at all, although I took my meds etc... it was when I was put on insulin that it really hit home, but even now i can have bad bad days where I think f**k it I will eat bad stuff, I know I will suffer for it but at least I know when I do I can increase my insulin, which is easier than when I was just on tablets.
