| Registered User | Hi Joanne, I was first told I had cysts on my ovaries at 19, there was no mention of pcos, I was just told they'd go away with each cycle, but I may find it difficult to get pregnant later on. 6mths later I was very surprises to find I was pregnant lol. 2 yrs later I was pregnant again! The 3rd took about 6mths to conceive using temping and fertility friend, but mainly because I don't ovulate very often, but thankfully it's the quality and not the quantity that counts Best of luck TTC! |

| Registered User | Hi Name Yvonne Age 32 Symptoms very hard to lose weight but getting there with help of dietician, cysts on both ovaries, raised androgens so excess hair which I deal with by electrolysis and waxing. No ovulation very irregular periods so have to have IVF to conceive but I did so that's the main thing. M.E./Chronic fatigue, severe panic attacks, Insulin resistance. Fluid retention. I hate PCOS the most because it is very unfair to us with weight and hair issues, and obviously for some fertility problems. Not everyone can afford IVF, and unfortunately it doesn't always work. Medication Metformin 500mg, Centrax tranquillizers 2 a day, dieretic for flud retention and sometimes kepake for pain. I'm from Ireland, thanks for this thread its nice to know we all have similar problems and maybe we can help eachother, for example how we deal with our issues etc.... ![]() |
