Does this stuff get rid of hair for a while? Does it get the hair all the way down to the root so you can go without shaving for a week or two? I tried Nair before and not only did it burn my legs but basically left me with stubble.

It essentially does the same thing as Nair. It just doesn't burn.

I've used this once and it worked pretty well. But I used a plastic pot scraper as a spatula and it irritated some of the areas. I am interested in using the mesh puff thing like for shower gel, but do you use that 'dry' or do you get in the shower and wet it first? Also what kind of spatula do you use on your face? Should I just get the Veet thing?

I love this stuff - I use the powder (silver can). I use an old gift card for scraping rather than a spatula and it works great. It seems to get closer than shaving and lasts a few days longer. I especially love not having any cuts or nicks that burn when going in the ocean water which I always seemed to get when I was shaving all of the time.

For all the curvy middle parts I just got in the shower and scrubbied away. Then I soaped up and rinsed to be sure there wasn't any extra left in the sensitive places. It doesn't get me smooth, but it's good enough and I don't dread shaving now.

OK but when you "scrubbied away" was there water running over it? Was the puff wet? Or did you just do it all dry? Forgive my stupidity.

For you guys that have had issues finding it, if you have a CVS pharmacy near you, they do carry it there. It's in the black hair care section, on the very bottom. Ours in town carries both the gold and silver cans. I had to check it out myself, even though I haven't gotten the courage to try it yet, but it's relatively cheap and I think I might have to buy some next time I go.

Picked mine up in Walmart (the silver can) for less than $2 on Saturday! The dbf's brother is visiting for the weekend and is leaving today... I wish I could kick him out right now so I could have the house to myself and go at it! What a surprise dbf will have tonight!

I have a question that hasn't really been addressed. What do you guys mix the powder in? Like do you use a regular kitchen bowl or what?? And also, what length of hair is ideal. I know for waxing, it's better to be a little short, but not too short that it doesn't have anything to grip. But I wasn't sure about this stuff... do those of you who don't normally go bare down there usually have to trim a little first?

I did it 'down there' and it did get most of the hair off, but it's not smooth by any stretch. There is a fine stubble, and some longer hairs. Also I got irritated in the fold of my leg again. Grr.

Plus when you see ALL THAT HAIR in your puff, you wonder if you're going to have to get a new puff for washing with! But it all seemed to come out, it probably helped that the hair wasn't THAT long. I was afraid it was going to look like I have mange but it's not very bad at all. DH didn't mind!

Also did it on my armpits and it worked prettty well there, only had one area of irritation.

For the leg folds, try putting some diaper cream or Dove deoderant on there. It really does help.

Well I did it! I'm not totally smooth down there, there are some stubbly spots and some spots that are more than stubbly, but I'll attribute those major areas that I missed to operator error. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied! I've never been bare before! I've kept it neat but always with a razor and ALWAYS with ingrown hairs and bumpies afterwards, so hopefully this will alleviate some of that!

I tried it on my underarms and didn't have a lot of success.... I think maybe the hair has to be longer. I shaved there the day before yesterday and I don't think there was much for the paste to stick to. It didn't really work well on my inner thighs either, but the hair there is much finer than on my ... you know... so I wasn't as concerned and had no problem just shaving it! We'll see what the dbf thinks when he's surprised tonight! But I think we have a winner!! I've tried other bikini depilitories and the hair didn't budge. Nair and Veet burned the crap out of my legs, so I never dared try it anywhere else. This stuff is heavy duty, without being harsh!

I took a chance and bought it. Very nice stuff. It got me smooth down there. I havent tried it on my legs or armpits yet. Prob try my legs next. I really had no irritation and used that dove deodorant as someone suggested. It really helps. Finally something that works and doesnt burn.
