Making cervical mucus is a natural part of our cycles. As you get closer to ovulation then you get more mucus and it changes to the consistancy of egg whites (sperm friendly).
Depending where you were in your cycle when you had your pap you might have had more cervical mucus.
Sometimes with PCOS when our hormones are out of whack we will get more cervical mucus more frequently, as our body tries to ovulate.
