Do I remember correctly from somewhere that my thyroxine levels should be increased for the first trimester? I am seeing my gp next week for a chat. Last time it wasn't increased til I was 10 weeks and "I think" I remember the endo commenting that it should have been done sooner.
I don't think it *must* be raised in your first trimester mine hasn't needed a med raise yet, but I did find with my previous pregnancies that towards my 3rd trimester is when I needed my raise in meds. As a matter of fact I have gone a little hyper this pregnancy and had to have my meds lowered a bit.

I had mine checked at 6weeks and had to go up to the next level. After that it did not change at all. My endo says when I get pregnant again I need to get it checked right away. Since I had my son I have had my levels changed 6 times.
I know that my doc's aren't letting me ttc until I hit certain lvls and I'll be closely monitored in the first tri because I dont produce high enough to sustain a pg. I m/c at 9 week mark, always. So 10 weeks would be too late for me.

We are TTC #4 and I will know this week whether or not I am pg. this will be(hopefully!) my first pg on thyroid meds, I was dx after my DD was born.
If I am lucky enough to get a BFP by blood work I won't see my RE until 6 weeks. Should I ask to have my labs checked while I get a pg test to make sure all is well or will it be okay to wait until I see my RE 2 weeks later??
Will my RE even recheck me or will I need to wait until I see my OB at 12 weeks?
Also does being hypo automatically make you high risk? I am one of the lucky ones who gets GD while pg so I always end up seeing a peri in the high risk unit as well as my OB so I'll be there eventually anyway but I'd like to be able to wait until 25 weeks instead of having to start righta way with both docs.
Sorry to hijack your thread...

First question, not sure to be honest, I think it depends on area and care
No, I am not counted as "high risk" because of my thyroid, that is because of other problems that I have had in the past, so I don't think that on it own makes you high risk.
Sorry am not too much help and don't worry about the hijack
