Default Undergournd zit! Need help!

I have this lovely zit on my cheek that is hurting but it's not close enough to the surface to pop...just close enough to make the area sore and red.

Anyone have any suggestions to draw it out or make it go away??

Thanks,
Leann

Unhappy Ouch!!

Leann,
I am right there with you. I have 3 on my cheeck/jaw. They aren't the cute petite ones either, they are the mean big ones!! I was hoping that my body would reabsorbe them. I wash my face everyday with clearisil daily face wash. I think it helps. Good luck, the good news is that they will go away someway. I think I read somewhere that witch hazel helps with the reddness and swelling.

Default May Work, May Not, But Worth a Try

I used to get that horrible kind of cystic acne. I haven't had it in a while (knock on wood).

1. Take Plain (full-fat) yoghurt, juice of one lemon, 2 tbs apple cider vinegar, and a few drops of Vitamin E and blend it together. Wash your face with this when you start to get weird skin problems.

2. Stick a clean q-tip into some Tea Tree Oil and apply to the zit a few times daily

3. (This sounds nasty but it REALLY works!) Take a small shaving of fresh garlic and tape it to the zit when you sleep. (Garlic is an anti-bacterial FYI)

4. Last (if your still having problems) mix the pulp of a mango, papaya, or FRESH pineapple with yoghurt to your skin for 15 minutes as you would a mask. (Your skin will be red and tingly for a little while afterward like 30 minutes or so max.) It works because the enzymes in the fruit breakdown the protein in your skin so that your skin becomes softer through exfoliation. Exfoliation will help to remove the deep zit.

Default

Clindamyacin gel works good. It is a topical antibiotic, Prescription only. When I have a monster cyst coming up, I start applying it on top about 3-4 times per day and they will disappear and never come up.

Default Clindagel

I agree, go to a dermatologist and get CLindagel. Its the topical antibiotic, and works pretty well. I am using that in the AM and diffirin in the PM and my skin has cleared up quite nicely after 2 months (knock on wood)
