Undetected Cysts during ultrasounds? On top of having PCOS, I also have endometriosis and a tipped uterus. A couple of years ago (about 3) I had a cyst that ruptured and had a laparoscopy and that's how I was diagnosed with endo. This is how it went down, for a while I had a constant pelvic pain which I had mentioned to my gyno. I had multiple ultrasounds and vaginal ultrasounds as well and everything came out fine, no cysts detected. I still complained about pain so my gyno told me that my last alternative was a laparoscopy to see if I had anything, although he didn't really believe I had anything and it was just normal pms pain. Although I had always been irregular and have always needed to take BC to get a regular period and I was on BC at this time. So I had scheduled a laparoscopy and a week before I was having sex with my bf and felt so much pain and noticed I started bleeding. Two days later I was trying to go to the bathroom and had all the symptoms of a ruptured cyst. The next week I had my laparoscopy and of course I had a cyst and it was an endo cyst. My doctor thought it was really weird this happened since I was on the pill. I recently got back on the pill for my acne and to regulate my periods and i have been having intense pelvic pain that it almost feels as a shock and pain during bowel movements.
I know this is a long story, but i want to know if anybody else has had this problem where cysts don't get detected on ultrasounds until they rupture, especially while being on the pill. Or is there just something weird with me. I tried googling and nothing showed up.
