unexplained weight loss after each baby? Hi there -
This is going to sound like a stupid problem, but after each child (I have two, the youngest is almost 17 months) once I got the last stubborn pregnancy pounds off it seems like it doesn't stop there.
The further out I get from my latest pregnancy, the more weight I lose. I'm now around 110 pounds. Most of my adolescent and adult life it's been a fight to stay around 120(as in couldn't get weight off). This is with working out 5-6 days a week and intensly. I now am lucky to get 4 days a week in and for some reason I feel "intolerant" to intense workouts. (increased feelings of anxiety when I run etc)
I've also developed a pretty constant feeling of anxiety. I get some relief around af and a little bit after. A naturopath has me on 5-htp and it was helping for a few days but not it's not really. I'm relenting that I may have to start an antidepressant.
I'm on Flutamide and just started Metformin, but the anxiety started almost 10 months into taking flutamide and existed before starting metformin 4 weeks ago.
I eat normally and even with the reduced workouts and cheating, I'm still at a very low weight for me and the other weird thing is that I have very muscular arms despite not doing weight training (I'm now afraid to for fear of how I'll look. I used to love to lift)
I was diagnosed with a wheat intolerance but it's such a drastic lifestyle change. I'm not sure how bad I even have one. I don't feel bad after eating wheat. I do feel bad after large amounts of carbs, but I think that's the underlying IR.
Anyone finding that they suddenly can't keep weight on?
It feels surreal to be worried about this. For most of my life I would have wished to have this problem. I'm just worried that it's playing a role in my anxiety and faster rate of hair loss.
I've been to doctor after doctor and none have been able to really address this, or have seemed interested in it, probably because I don't look underweight to them. My family all think I have an eating disorder however. |
