Default Unpleasant

Hello Ladies. I was recently engaged in sexual activities, when my boyfriend stopped, and had to get away. He said that I smelled so bad, and that it was worse when he got closer to the area, that he had to stop. He actually got sick from the smell.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know how to "cure" the smell? I am a clean person, and I am getting really frustrated with PCOS, and all the "weird" things you get with it!

Is it possible you have an infection? Chlamydia often has no symptoms and can lay dormant for many years. Go get checked first for stds or other infections first. and perhaps have a wash before gettin it on with your man ( just a courtesy also point out men dont always smell so fresh)

Hi Lakefield Girl,
If the odor is that strong or unpleasant it may be that you have some kind of infection of some sort. You should really go see a doctor/gynecologist and have an examination. Some infections may not be painful so they go undetected, but they can cause damage, even infertility or other medical problems.

No matter what I strongly encourage you to get a gyn check up. In the mean time, to clean externally I've found that using a cheap shampoo cleans really well in that area. Shampoos are designed to break down body oils easily, I like nice fruity ones. I lather well in all of the folds and creases, making sure to lather well where my thighs meet the pubic area, there are many sweat glands there.
Take care, see your doctor as soon as you can

Thanks for the replies. I have an appointment with the doctor for early next week. I will wait and see what he has to say until then.

Ya know, I've been told for years that there was nothing wrong with a little odor. I'd been tested for EVERY type of infection and disease and had my boyfriend tested even though we're both completely faithful to each other.
Well every test came back negative and still the odor continued.

Until this new Dr. I'm seeing did his own in-house exam for my pap last week and guess what? The. Dr. called me and said I had a severe Strep and Staph infection. I talked to him about it a little today and he said I could have had it for years but what he considers a high range for the bacteria might be normal range for a different lab and they would tell me it was a clear pap and I would go untreated for another year. Craziness huh?

Also, I hear some doctors will not treat things like Vaginitis unless you specifically tell them to look for and treat it.

Good luck!
