Default Unteran Oblation (sp?) sergery? Anyone have this done?

***gross AF details below***

I have been having bad AF's for as long as I can remember. During TTC they were somwhat controlled. We moved onto adoption and are done TTC. I have been on BCP's to regulate AF. No problems for the longest time. I acutally stopped bcp's for awhile and had no problems. I should mention I am also on 2000mg of Met daily. Anyway, AF has been getting worse again. I actually bled for 38 days without stop, with cramps so bad nothing helped. I passed many, many clots that were really bad, huge and painful and I actually became anemic and phisically ill. This happened a second time and I had to go the GYN to have them help. THey stopped the bleeding and did an US and found nothing. So back on the bcp's. Everything seemed ok, then I started getting af every other week. They have mentioned this uteran oblation as a new alternative to having a hysterectomy. I am wondering if anyone has gone this route and if you can give me some information on it. How long is recovery? What is your body like after it? I know that you don't get AF anymore, but will you still get hormone fluctuations and AF type symptoms?

Any info would be great.
Thanks,
cyndl
