I'm new here and have been browsing around the forum and you all seem to have so much knowledge about pcos that I thought it's about time I start to learn and share with fellow sufferers!
On to my embarassing problem..... I was diagnosed with pcos at 19 (I'll be 25 next month) but it's more likely that I've had it since 14/15. Anyway, I keep getting these large spots/cysts on the inside of my thighs and around my labia. They get really big and uncomfortable and then they burst, leaking pus. I know this is really disgusting and I'm really embarrased to ask, but I do remember reading somewhere that this is a symptom of pcos, and I would really appreciate it if anyone has any knowledge/experience that they could share with me?
hey there, welcome to the board. these spots could just be acne i guess, i get them too but they don't get so big and they're fairly infrequent. don't really know much else. however you might want to see your doc about them. anywho, welcom

Thanks for that, I'm sure that it is just acne, but it's reassuring to know that I'm not alone! Will prob get doc to check it out too, when I can overcome the idea of actually letting someone other than my fiance see them! :o

Yes, other women get them, they have a name, which I helpfully can't remember, but maybe someone else will post. I get something similar from time to time. Sometimes controlling your sugar levels will help, some people swear by tea tree oil, scrubs, etc. But you're not alone.

The disease is a chronic acneiform infection of the cutaneous apocrine glands that also can involve adjacent subcutaneous tissue and fascia. Velpeau first described the condition in 1839.
