Talking An Update!

Today I got my Clomid!!!! I'm so pleased about it! I'm really hoping it will work first time but I'm not holing my breath for that! I'll be happy as long as I just ovulate!

The doc reckons the clomid should sort the problems.

One thing I am worried about is the side effects! I've read about a few of them but I was wondering what kind of side effects have you had? I want to see which ones are the most common and are they easy to deal with?!?!

Thanks again for listening! I love this board!

Yay Sharky!!!

My side effects weren't too bad, but I took the Clomid at night so I slept through the worst of it! It's a good idea.

Everything crossed this works for you - mine worked on the second cycle.

Good Luck!!

Great news - let's hope it works for you. I was sooooo over-excited when I got my first lot!!

I am only on my second cycle with it and haven't noticed too much going on. I had a whole day of feeling really ill and pain before my period which I have never had before - usually if I get that it's during, not before. I seemed more emotional while I was taking it the first time (though not the second) too.

The only side-effect, no doubt caused by the hormonal changes it enduces, I have really had is thrush. Both times now. And I rarely have that - possibly twice or three times in my life before now. So I am well stocked with Canestan pessaries and natural yoghurt!!

Hi

I have had about 4 rounds of clomid this time round - the first time the doc tried it I was 28lbs heavier and I didn't respond to it at all. This time I have o'd every round, but it was not until this round that I have had a 28 day cycle.I am on 150mg and 1700mg Met.

I find that I get a LOT of hot flushes, especially mid-cycle. I also find that I can get slightly raised blood pressure. I egt PMT, but wether this is worse with the clomid than without I cannot really say, as I cannot remember the last time I o'd without and therefore I wasn't getting AF either.

All I can say is good luck to you. I got AF today - that was day 28 exactly, so I will be starting my next round tomorrow - if you want a buddy, please keep in contact. Lets hope that it works this time for both of us!!

Hi

Sorry - don't have any experience with clomid. Just wanted to say hurray.
