Angry **Update**Had Diagnostic Laproscope on Friday

Ok, I had the diagnostic Laproscope and due to an obsession I had about 10 or 11 years ago with douching, I have ruined myself for life. I had gotten PID from obsessive douching, in which my then OB/GYN told me to stop douching forever, which I did....

However, he did not tell me that I could damage my female parts for life.

My ovaries were covered in cysts from the PCOS, which all cysts where removed. Also, I had adhesions from the PID that many years ago. My Dr was able to remove the adhesions to my intestions, bowels, kidneys, and bladder and free up my uterus and ovaries from other organs. However, my tubes are blocked and he is afraid he will damage them if he tries to free them up, so he says that I have let's say about a 20% chance of being able to get pregnant. This is not what I wanted to hear. Also, one of my tubes is still attached to my liver and he was unable to free it without damaging my liver, so guess what, will have to have another surgery.

I am so upset about this. First he tells me that I may not be able to have any children because of my tubes, then proceeds to tell me that I will need another operation and then stated that I might have to have a hysterectomy in the next 5 years.

I am so mad at myself, frustrated, upset and depressed, I can't see straight.....and that doesn't even account for the pain that I am in right now either!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear LeanLioness,

I'm so sorry to hear about your health problems! It's so unfair that some people just get it all.
Hopefully you now have a competent doctor that will take good care of you - make sure you do a lot of research on your own and get a 2nd opinion before you have a hysterectomy done.

I had a laprascopic procedure myself 2 weeks ago, so I can relate to your pain. Please try not to be so hard on yourself - you weren't and aren't a doctor and had no way of knowing what would happen to you in the future.
I see my surgeon again this week and have written a long list of questions for him. I wasn't myself after the surgery and can't remember details. I suggest you start writing a list as well.

Best of luck to you!
