Hi,
I went to the dr. today and they did an u/s. I am measuring 6w2d, and saw and heard the h/b!!
My dr. said she feels the vitex must have been working b/c my ovaries were FREE of cysts too! I could not believe this. The last u/s they did to check my ovaries they were covered in cysts.
However, my progesterone and estrogen are both low so they put me on replacement therapy (prometrium and Vivelle Dot) for 3 weeks. I am not happy about this, but don't know what else to do. She talked to me about low levels causing miscarriage- and that was all she needed to say. I am hoping and praying everything will turn out fine with the hormone levels. I did not have this problem with my 1st pregnancy. They will do more bloodwork in 3 weeks.
So I have to say I believe in vitex!

How was vitex taken??? Everyday?? Before/After Ovulation? If combined with Donq Quai, how do you take that?? I'm taking vanadly sulfate and it doesn't seem to work well with me or maybe my mcg's are too low... I take one capsule a day. Help me!

I took one capsule of vitex (400 mg) every evening, along with one capsule of dong quai. I took vitex for 3 1/2 months, but stopped the dong quai after two months b/c I didn't read enough info on its benefits. So I thought I'd just stick with the vitex. I didn't think I was O-ing so I just took it all month long. I wanted to let it build up in my system.

I have been taking Vitex for several months and it has worked wonders...after about the second month my periods came back and I have been regular ever since...It has really helped me!!

The vanadyl sulfate will help with your blood sugar/insulin levels, but as far as I know, it won't help the regulation thing...although It wouldn't be a first if i'm wrong.
I take 400 mg. of vitex and 50 mg (yes, it seems high, but I trust it) of vanadyl sulfate, 50 mg. b-complex and 200mcg. chromium with my breakfast. The vitex has worked for me , except when I was on 1200 mg/day it didn't, but once I figured that out, all was well.
Don't get discouraged.
and, if it helps, Nuttygirl isn't the first person I've heard of having this experience with the vitex shrinking the cysts away. Yea for vitex!

Ok, I guess I'll try to use vitex the whole cycle... none stop and see what happens! Thanks. I'll add chromium and keep the vanadyl sulfate going. Thanks again girls!
