I saw someone else ask this question and didn't see the answer...what are the donate things and all those other things under your avitar mean (how do you do them?). (Edit: Okay, after reading another newbie thread - the July Karma - I think I figured most of this out, still not sure about the shopping and what not I've seen people mention)...

Also, I know I'm new and I'm sure you have to watch for trolls and what not, but it's really frustrating not to be able to post or see links before X amount of posts. I'd post more but I can't. (Edit: This sounds really harsh when I read it, but it wasn't meant in that spirit at all - I'm really thankful to find this board, just wish I could do everything instantly. )

Kudos to my good friend, Jesse who is in the Air Force. He's got a lot more guts than I do, currently stationed in Nevada and looking forward to deployment in January. Kudos also to Jason, stationed in Dover...keep safe on your flights, BIL!
