Usually skip periods, but had 2 this month..what is going on? I am NOT on any birthcontrol and have not been for 8 years. I've never been pregnant..ever. I am married and we do have unprotected sex...because if we happen to get pregnant. yay for us! We do NOT want to prevent it, however are not ready for the infertility docs at this point.
SO here is the problem. I do take Metformin. I've taken it off and on since 2003, the side effects usually make me stop tking it.. Well, in Dec. 2006 I started it again and I stuck with it through now... I still manage to skip a monthly period here and there...someties two months. BUT SOMETHING DIFFERENT HAPPENED THIS MONTH. This month I had 2 periods!...a period on the 8th that was the most normal one I've had in a while and it lasted about 4 days. Then, Saturday the 24th - late at night, I started another period. This has never happened to me. and it keeps going from heavy to real light, so I don't know what is going on...I know my back is KILLING ME! This sucks. I just went through this two weeks ago.
I am between gynecologists right now. hate the one I had been going to plus he is too far away. The one that is close to home, that I used to go to, I left her because I didn't like her or her staff-I forgot and I went back (in March, after not being there since 2004). for the comfort of closeness to home...however after my FIRST appointment back to her I remembered why I hated it. So, I dont know...maybe having this 2nd peirod this month is nothing. It's just strange.. my problem has ALWAYS been NOT having a period... why now all of a sudden do I get 2 about 2 weeks apart?
Hubby and I had sex on the 15th, so is it possible I am pregnant?
I didn't have any pregnancy tests, but I did have some ovulation tests.so for kicks, I did an ovulation test and it was positive.. why would it be positive during a period? I'm confused. I should talk to a doctor I guess. I know there is something called breakthrough bleeding... is that what this is?
Ugh.. I am so frustrated because I dont' have a doc to go to. I'm going to call my primary care doc and ask for a referral. It's just that she is 30 miles away , so anyone she recommends will probably be just as far... which I do not like because what if I do get pregnant? Then I don't want to have to go so far to the doc all the time.
Ok I made up my mind. I am calling my primary care doc. She knows the probs I have been having..she'll refer me to someone good. That is better than me pulling a name out of the phone book. All the other specialists she has referred me to have been really good.
Has this happened to anyone else? I am not on the pill. I knowthis can happen when you go off the pill. The only thing I take is Metformin and like I said, that has regulated me better than I was, but I am still on about a 30-40 day cycle usually, and sometimes even longer.. NEVER EVER EVER EVER have I had one this close together except once when I started BC pills and stopped after 3 days.. (long time ago)
