Hello all,
I've just been diagnosed with PCOS. In addition to cysts, cycle irregularities, etc, the Dr. says I have irregularities in my uterine lining. I'm going in a few weeks to have an endometrial biopsy done.
Do many of you have this symptom? I'd like to hear of experiences with this.
Thanks
Unfortunately I can't help with your question, but I did want to stop by and say hi! I know how scarey all this can be and how overwhelming, so I wanted to let you know you've come to the right place. These women here are fantastic!! If you ever need to talk, you can PM, I'm here for ya!
I too, have no experience with uterine lining irregularities but I would like to give you a warm Welcome to SC and tell you that someone will come along and answer your question.
We all have such diverse symptoms so when one person can't answer your questions then there is always someone who can.
I wish you the best of everything!
I just had a pap done in Oct and it came back that I have inflammation of the utering lining. I don't know what caused it. I have to go back in December for another pap test to see if it is still inflammed and if it is what we are going to do about it.
Hi Welcome to SoulCysters,
I've recently been diagnosed went to doc after a year and 1/2 with no a/f(period) they scheduled a sonohystogram, there they discoverd 2 polyps and that the lining of my uterus was very thick, from there they scheduled a uterinescraping and hystereogram a week later they removed the extra lining of my uterus removed the 2 polyps and prescribed me metformin,I've now been on that for 9 days doing pretty good only a few mild s/e's every now and then,my pap results and pathology reults came back clean no cancerous cells,so I hope all goes well for you.
Jen

Yes, i have this problem. I had a transvaginal ultra sound and it was discovered that the lining in my uterus was extremely too thick, thus when i had a cycle I would have one for weeks, with heavy clotting, then spotting. When I was finally able to stop bleeding, that's when I had the ultra sound and PCOS was suspected, but it was not until I was biopsied was it confirmed. It's funny, all this time I thought something was wrong with me and never knew. I have been like this since maybe 16 years of age if not earlier- fortunately i had a OB/GYN who actually cares!
Keep me posted!

I got my results from the endometrial biopsy today. like princezzjenboo77, I have an endometrial polyp, which is thankfully benign. The next thing will be a D&C to remove it.
Don't know when that will be scheduled yet.
The Dr. has started me on Yaz, as of today, and also prescribed Metformin, 500mg/day. Should I be worried about a surplus of side effects, starting both at the same time?
From reading the replies of alisha511, princezzjenboo77, and others, it certinaly looks like there are many variations in every single symptom of this mess
Thanks once again for the replies.
