Red face UTI Vs. Vag Infection

A UTI is more of a burning sensation right? Vag. infections are discharge and funky odors? Or is it the other way around? Kind of all started on the 21st of December. Thought it was a vag infection and took a 3-day course of Monistat--thought I was "cured" and then got the "itchies" so took another 3-day course and felt 10 x better so thought I was really "cured" Now this past weekend, we were DTD a couple of times (I always pee afterwards) and today I have burning sensations when peeing and almost a pulsating feeling down yonder so that is a UTI right??? Cant get into my Dr until tomorrow morning but if anybody knows any lil tips or OTC that would help until then, I'd appreciate it.

Burning when you urinate could be UTI or vag yeast infection, or maybe some other type of infection. Your doc can test to find out for sure.
In the meantime, you could try another round of OTC yeast meds.
You could also try Colloidal silver. You can drink it, and also put in in a spray bottle, and spray it on the affected area, and let it air dry.
You could also take cranberry juice, or cranberry capsules.
Be sure to drink lots of water, to help you pee more, which will help wash out any bacteria that might currently be in the bladder. Be sure to completely empty the bladder. After the urine flow stops. Wait a few seconds, and then try pushing out more urine, just to make sure you got it all out.

If your doc Rx antibiotics, make sure to take enterically coated acidophillus 1/2 way between each dose to replace the probiotics in the intestinal tract as they are being killed off. You could also ask your doc to Rx diflucan when he Rx's the antibiotics. I have also found it extremely helpful to take yeast fighting herbs or enzymes, like Yeast defense or Candex while taking antibiotics. All those can all be found at most health food stores.

I hope that you can get relief soon.

If you think you have a UTI, there is this great OTC stuff called URISTAT. It is a urinary anesthetic, which works wonders at relieving the pain/stinging/need to pee all time but nothing comes out symptoms of a UTI.

URISTAT is not an antibotic, you'll still need one of those to treat the infection, but this OTC stuff manages the symptoms in the meantime.

They sell it at CVS or any other pharmacy, Walgreens, WalMart, Target etc...

Only bad thing about it is that it gives me a little nausea, but nothing serious.

Good Luck! Hope you feel better soon. UTI's are the pits.
