Ok so my RE put me on Prometrium and Estrace and I am positive he said to take them at night time vaginally. I went to the pharmacy today and the pharmacist said they only carried the oral tablet for Estrace or vaginal cream. He also said they only had Prometrium in capsules and that he was going to have to call my RE because he wasnt sure.
So my question is (I feel stupid having to ask!) do you use the oral tablets and capsules vaginally? The pharmacist has me totally confused or maybe I heard my RE wrong. Thank you ladies!

I have. I have used the same progesterone capsules and estrace pills that I take orally, vaginally. I would ask your RE for further clarification. But your prescription should say exactly the form your Dr. wants you to have. Your pharmacist should be able to fill the script and then you can talk to your RE about your instructions. Good luck!

they do make vaginal suppositories for progesterone, I'm currently on them as well as the oral (yellow capsule). I just wanted to say that there are other kinds of progesterone too.

My RE told me to ignore the pharmacy instructions and take the supplements vaginally. She said they don't tell the pharmacy her instructions because they always get too many phone calls questioning them.
Good luck!
