I am looking for a good Dr on the Island... I've heard that Dr Hudson was the best, but he's also hard to see. So I was wondering is someone had antoher suggestion.
Where on the Island are you?
Are you looking for an RE or just an Endo?

I'm in Victoria...
and I am not to sure at this time which kind of Dr I should be looking for... PCOS is a "new" dx for me.... never worried about anything until the day we started trying for a little one. The BCP used to take care of all potential problems.
I have an appt in Dec with a gyno to discusse my pelvic pain but my GP didn't care mentioning the PCOS on her refferal... so I am really looking for any type of physician with experience with this subject.
You should probably ask your GP for a referral to see an Endocronologist. An Endo will be able to tell you about PCOS and how to manage it. At the same time you could ask for a referral to see Dr. Hudson.
I've seen pretty much every Endo in Victoria. They don't really deal with fertility, they're more about managing your blood sugar and weight. I see Dr. von Westarp and he's alright. Pretty old school but was willing to try some things that I suggested.
Dr. Vanden Berg is a female Endo. I had high hopes for her but she failed to even diagnose me with PCOS.
I'm not a fan of Dr. Marshall. My Mom and sister both see him for thyroid disease and he seems pretty fat phobic. My Mom is thin and when she asked to be tested for diabetes because of family history he told her that she didn't have to worry because she, "wasn't fat." Lovely.
It's pretty trial and error here. We don't have enough Endo's so you have to take the good with the bad.

My one experience with a Gyno was pointless. He had no idea what PCOS even was. It's an endocrine disorder so an Endo is your best bet.
