Default Vaniqa?

Is anyone using Vaniqa and if so, how successful has it been for you? I am so sick of dealing with the hair. It is so depressing to deal with. Some days I swear that my hair grows faster and darker just by looking at it and then other days it doesn't bother me as bad. I am really thinking about calling my dermatologist to see about the Vaniqa although I am already using a cream called tri-luma for melasma (hyper skin pigmentation that pregnant women normally get but I'm not pregnant and never have been). Just another problem to deal with. Not sure if the dr will allow me to use both creams as one might contradict the other. Ugh!

Vaniqa worked for me. But one thing to think about is that it isn't covered by insurance, and it stops working a week or so after you stop using it. But it DID slow down my hair growth while I was using it. I'd say it cut my grooming time in half.

For those of who've tried Vaniqa w/o insurance covering it how much did it cost and how often do you have to refill it?

I used vaniqua for about 6 months it did work after about 6 weeks and it did slow the hair growth. I lost insurance about the time i ran out and just figured it was too expensive. The hair started to return though quickly. Now that I have insurance i asked for another perscription from my endo (oh and btw you have to use it continously so yes you do have to keep refilling it ) So after going to refil it i realized that it wasnt coverd on my insurance prior and I was paying $70 back with insurance. So $70 dollars is a bit to spend at one time but it lasts about 3 months. It was about $70.00 at Wlagreens. However Walgreens can be more expensive. GL w/ it
