You can call whenever you are going to buying it from and they will tell you over the phone. I paid $85 for mine...for a small tube of it...and insurance will not cover the stuff.

hmmm not sure. only been on it a month. im also on 100 mg of spiro each day too. i only have problems with a small amount of hair on each side of my chin...i did notice more hair after i started spiro but its starting to become less and less. not sure if its the vaniqa or spiro...ive been on spiro since dec. my sister was on vaniqa for about 3 months and didnt like it, her hair growth is much more than mine, and the product says give it a good 3-6 months to see results.

I used Vaniqa about 3 years ago, and I paid $60/tube. It worked okay. I have a lot of facial hair, so it didn't work as well for me as for someone with just a little. It did slow down the hair growth, but there was so much hair that I still spent as much time plucking, so I quit using it.

I'm on to laser hair removal now. At $85/tube for a year, you're up to about $1000, the same as my laser treatments will cost me.

Default Vaniqa DID NOT work for me!!

My Story is very similar to VivC. I used Vaniqa twice a day as directed for 6 full months at $66 a tube and it did not work for me! I still had to wax once, sometimes twice a week by the end of the 6 months, and my hair just got thicker and more "manly", and I wasted a lot of money. I guess it does work for some people, but I don't see how it can work for someone with a hormonal/endocrine disorder - I think it only works for women who have mild to moderate hair growth(just a few sparse hairs here and there - not a full blown beard/mustache!!)

I have moved on to Laser treatements, because I just couldn't take the way the hair growth made me feel. It is just awful to first & foremost be a woman who can't conceive a child, then add in the extra pain of being a woman who grows hair like a man & I was one unhappy camper who NEVER felt pretty or good about myself. I finished up my 3rd laser treatment a few weeks ago and I am so very pleased with the results!! My hair on my chin has decreased by about 80% now and my hair on my upper lip is 90% GONE, Unibrow also 80% gone!!!! I have only 2 ingrown hairs remaining on my chin/neck area that are working their way out, my skin has lightened up in chin/neck area(It was dark for all the scabs caused from acne/ingrown hairs) and the acne along my jawline has all but gone - well except for when AF visits I have a couple big zits, but nothing like before!! I love my laser treatments, I have had much success thus far and it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as waxing/plucking. I am feeling pretty again!! My face is looking clearer & skin has a more even tone/glow to it!!! I also take EPO(evening primrose oil) & Spearmint tea from AF to O - EPO helps grow hair on head back & tea helps to reduce androgens, thus decreasing facial hair growth & promoting hair regrowth where lost(after one week tea reduced androgens in women by 30%!!!!)Best wishes to you as you find a way to deal with your PCOS hair growth/loss problems!
