Default Vaniqa? Does it Work?

Hi All!!! So ... I was dx w/ PCOS Jan 2008, I've been on Met 500mg and it has helped my acne A LOT, still no AF though, and my facial hair is no better. I've heard of the cream Vaniqa that's supposed to make womens' facial hair finer and less noticeable. I'm going to ask my dr about it when I go back in 2 weeks but I was just wondering if anyone out there has had experience with it? Or anything else that works?

I currently pluck ... used to wax but my skin is so sensitive that I breakout in tiny little pimples where each hair came out (gross). And I was thinking about laser hair removal but after reading another post regarding that, it looks like that doesn't really work for women with PCOS. Luckily I'm blond so must of my hair, except the handfull of thick black ones, are blond and people don't really see them.

Laser works for women with pcos. Most of the women here who've had it have had extremely positive results.

It won't work on your blond hair, however.

Vaniqua works, but it's not covered by insurance, and takes some time to work. When you stop using it, the hair comes back. It's pricey, too.

Heard that it's expensive, but it probably does work because it's been around for a while. I might try it myself. I just bought this thing from HSN called no!no! which is "supposed" to lessen hair, but I don't know.. just gonna try it out, and if it doesn't work , which I kinda doubt, I'm going to send it back. Anywho, I did laser and since my hormone levels at the time weren't balanced, all the hair just ended up coming back, and worse. I mean, I never got rid of it in the first place.. just lessened a little, and then came back with a vengeance.

Please post your results with the No!No! There's a long thread of people waiting to hear how it works...
