I'm thinking about trying Vaniqua- and was wondering how it works for sisters with SUPER sensitive skin- I have the most sensitive skin and am afraid it will not be sensitive enough! Any other sisters try it that had sensitive skin? Has vaniqua helped you at all?
Just curious!! Thanks!!! :

well, since I dont have really sensitive skin, I cant totally answer your question. But no one had replied, so I figured I would put my 2 cents in
I tried Vaniqua for almost 2 years straight on my face, chin, neck area, and I didnt notice any difference. I even asked my gyno about it and he said it wasnt really effective.
Dont get me wrong. I have heard some amazing stories about the stuff, and it has worked miracles for some people. I think there are even some threads on this board about how well it worked for some people. Just not me. I have though hair apparently.
Before starting I would get as many people's oppinion on the effectiveness of it as possible. That way you can determine if you think you should take a risk with your sensitive skin.
Good Luck!

I have fairly sensitive skin, and Vaniqa has never bothered me. It may cause ingrown hairs especially at the beginning of the treatment, but I have folliculitus from plucking, so I didn't notice any more breakouts when I started Vaniqa. I have to say that Vaniqa seems to have made a difference on me. I started it at the same time as Met, so who knows which one has made the most difference. I have many fewer hairs to pluck on my upper lip, neck and chin. Vaniqa slows growth. It doesn't completely stop it. I was plucking twice a day for about 15 minutes, and now I only pluck once a day for about 5 - 10 minutes. Drugstore.com has the best price I have seen if you order three tubes at once. You might want to research the prices and decide if you want your doc to write a 3 tube or one tube prescription for each time you buy.

My skin is sensitive, though not as sensitive as yours seems to be. There wasn't any irritation or redness, but I did have an increase in breakouts. There's know way to know if it was actually because of the Vaniqua, but I think it was.

I'm glad you asked this question. I just got a prescription for this today and I have VERY sensitive skin. I'll let you know how it goes for me. I'll probably start it over the next few days.
