Red face Venlafaxine withdrawal-cant get a doc's appt!

So fed up at mo. Had so much on my mind (Almost losing my home, serious debt etc) that i didn't realise i was running out of meds. As soon as i did i asked my nan if she would put in a repeat prescription for me at the docs (cos u cant do it over the fone) Takes 48hrs before u can pick it up. My bro went to pick it up for me & the nurse told him i had to make an appt cos the doctor had asked to see me. So i called to make an appt & she told me the next available one was 14th Sept. I said it was urgent and that id ran out of meds but thats the soonest she could fit me in.So now i've ran out of meds & i'm starting to feel really lousy & nausceous. I don't know how i made it thru the day Friday. I just feel like i need to sleep all the time. My legs ache as tho ive got flu. I have no energy.

What more can i do? This is the longest ive ever been able to keep a job due to depression & im scared im gonna lose it. I've had this job almost a year. I hate doctors receptionists!

All I am going to say is OH MY GOD.I cant believe they cant get you in sooner.I have a dr like that s oI switched to a pysch nurse practioner to manage my meds. What led me to switching was that I was having a serious hard time.Called the dr ofc and couldnt get a appt for 3 weeks.Told the scheduler that I couldnt wait.So she talked to the dr and dr said there was no reason I couldnt wait.I almost went off the deep end becasue at that point it was taking everything I had to make it to work.I was crying at work.It wasnt pretty.Plus I was afraid of going back into my black hole.So I made the switch and I am happy. So that is a thought.

About the symptoms you are going thru:that is withdrawal.I was on the drug for 2 years. It finally quit working so the dr tapered me off.It was the hardest thing I had gone thru.I had to take a medical leave for a month because it got so bad.I personally would call the dr office and insist .Also tell them you are going thru withdrawal symptoms and that you need to get in.

I hope you feel better.((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

I don't know if this would work or not....

Could you wait until the office is closed....and then get the answering service to page the on call doctor? And maybe when they called back tell them what is going on and maybe they could call you in a prescription for a couple weeks worth until you can see the doctor.

I dont' know...it's the answer I could think of...short over overnight mailing you some of mine....

email me if you need me
