Hey! well here's my story...ever since i was 15 i had started to grow a moustache and got hairs above my belly button i started to shave these and during high school u could not really tell so i just went on normal and let it be. I am now 18 yrs old nearly 19 and i have hair on my arms like a man that just recenly went like this and i have now waxed them. Have started to get hair on my bum.. in my crack ewwww... and on my breast and chest (tummy) and just in the last couple of days on my chin...which i want to cry ova and what should i do about them???? i am sooo angry and upset and confused .. I to like alot of women on here seem to do wear alot of makeup which i hate as i used to have beautuful skin which is now ruined and people think i need makeup I didn't start wearing it beacuse i had bad skin but now i have terrible skin from wearing it constantly and too much. I am not a large girl I am a size 8 with a bit of a pot belly and am very girly and still very sociable abut not nearly as much and also get scared sumone will soon notice and say something...although people still judge me now as very pretty...but now i am also scared from reading on hear that from these new changes i have been experiencing that i will soon get fat as well???? I have not gone and got diagnosed but am considering it but i know my family has hair issues too.. my younger sisters both have moustaches and hair on their belly doesn't seem to be anywhere else but.... and my mum has a moustache but does not have hair any wear else none of us talk about this and i think none of us want to ...especially me... i am very ashamed of this and am scared to go to a doctor! Please give me some ideas? I am sooooo CONFUSED!!!!!
My best advice would be to go to a doctor. Don't worry about the getting fat part, though that did happen to me...worry about that if you don't get this checked out you could be ignoring a problem that could cause you issues later in life (diabetes, fertility issues, etc). You can always keep your weight under control with discipline and good habits.
As far as the hair goes, try waxing? If it's something that really bothers you, I would strongly suggest seeing both your gyno and possibly an endo to see if there is a cause to all of it. Then, if your hormones are normal, you can look into getting something more permanant (i.e. laser hair removal or electrolysis). I just started laser and after one treatment it has made a huge difference both in my appearance and self-esteem.
I know the physical aspects are hard to deal with at our age, but there are greater concerns. If you suspect something is wrong, it's always best to get it checked out. It's always better to know.
Good luck.

And check into laser hair removal, electrolyis, etc.

Get to a doctor as soon as you can. Once you get your hormones in check try laser hair removal. I have hair all over (face, lower back, arms, nipples, tummy..). At one point I would have to shave my face daily otherwise I would have more stuble then my husband. I have been getting laser treatments for a little over a year and only have to shave once a month. It can be costly but will do wonders for how you feel about yourself. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.
Hugs!
