Hi and welcome to the board.
It's good that you're seeing the doc so that he/she can run some tests and put your mind at ease one way or the other. Weight gain is not usually a symptom of diabetes, but it can be a symptom of insulin resistance and PCOS. When you were diagnosed with PCOS, were you given a fasting insulin test? Many women with PCOS have insulin resistance, and treating that can reduce the symptoms of PCOS and possibly prevent diabetes (IR can lead to diabetes). BCP's can disrupt cycles and cause changes in bleeding patterns. Hopefully your doc will run female hormone tests (progesterone, estrogen, FSH, LH) as well as testesterone, fasting glucose and fasting insulin to help determine the best approach for treatment. It is unlikely that you are pregnant, but I have heard that pregnant women can have menstrual-like bleeding so I guess it's not impossible.
I would also suggest asking your doc to order thyroid tests to rule out hypothyroidism (very common in women with PCOS, and can cause weight gain and menstrual changes, too).
Good luck,
Linda
