You can still have children I have a 8-1/2 year old son and was diagnosed with PCOS over 10 years ago. It is not the end of the world. I have probably had PCOS for over 20 years. When you are ready to try, look for a good RE that has a knowledge of PCOS. That will definitely help. And even if you cannot conceive, do not rule out adoption. There are plenty of children in this world that I'm sure would love to have you as their mom. (My son was born to me, but if I couldn't have him, I would have been willing to adopt.) I feel that adoptive mothers are true moms. Although their children are not born from love, the love is true and brought to them and teaching the children what love is is special.
What is the most frustrating to me is how many times I had to have pregnancy tests when I was a virgin. How many drs did not know about this or wouldn't accept it as a disease.
Please e-mail me if you want.
