Default Very frustrated! Would love some advice

Hi Everyone,
I am sure you all get tired of seeing this, but I seriously think that I may have PCOS. I have had a cyst on my ovary removed. I have excess hair on my face, around my belly button. I have thinning hair on the top of my head. And I have hormonal acne to boot. I mentioned the hair and acne issues to my gyn and he had some bloodwork done. He said that everything looked okay and not to worry abou it. I didn't specifically bring p PCOS to him then because I had never heard of it. I am thinking about making another appt with him or with an endo. I am so frustrated at this point I could cry. I know all of this is connected somehow and I am not crazy. I also get horrific migraines, btw. I just don't know where to begin. I don't want my gyn to think I am some sort of hypochondriac or something and I don't want an endo to think I am wasting his or her time. Also, my Dad had issues with his hormones, he had to get testosterone shots, so maybe this also comes into play. And my Dad's sister and her daughter both had to resort to fertility treatments to get pregnant and it still took them a long time. Well, anyhow, sorry for rambling. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Brandy

Unfortunately, the symptoms can be caused by a variety of things. I do suggest making another appointment and discussing all possibilities with your Dr. If it concerns you, mention it, it can't hurt!

I suggest coming up with a list of questions and symptoms before your appointment. Sometimes I get very overwhelmed and forget everything by the time my appointment comes along.

I'm not sure how your Dr is but I've had Drs in the past that like to rush their patients - don't let them do this - or if they do, it's time to find another Dr who is willing to take the time to listen to your concerns. You know your body best so you need to tell them what's going on with it!
