Default VERY light period!

Hi all,
Just wandered if anyone else has had this. My last full period was 53 days before this one started. I have been 'bleeding' for 5 days, but only spots or drops and its mostly brown when it comes out anyway. I've only needed my regular panty liners and nothing else.
Anyone else had this problem, what was it?
I occasionally also get really bad cramps/pain around my midsection, both front and back, even when not on my period. Could it be related?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I get that from time to time. Everyone here assures me it's nothing to worry about. I still wish I knew what exactly it was...

I can't figure out how to start my own thread, so hopefully someone can give me some insight. I started my period on July 13ish and it lasted 3 weeks, but for the most part it was light to light-med flow. My cycle is typically about 40-46 days. Then about two weeks ago (Aug 14th) I started spotting. I thought it was AF but there was nothing on the pantyliner until Sunday. My husband and I had sex (tmi sorry but I don't know who to ask) and there was a little bit of red blood but only a drop or so, then nothing again. I have been tired lately but I think it's from this new medicine.

What does this sound like any an all insight welcome. Could it have been implantation bleed? I think I am due to start this Monday. I checked an ovulation calculator and if my cycle is 44 days long then I would have O'd between the 9-14th.

Thanks for in advance for the info.

I have had this problem since my doc put me on provera, I am suppose to take it for 7 days every other month. He told me my periods would be heavy however I barely bleed, like you I spot and it is more brown then red

My periods have generally been quite light every since going on the Pill (20 yrs now!). Lately (I'm 41 now) they are sometimes just spotting a little and only for about 3 days. I take them on a continuous cycle (63 days of active pills, then a period). My doctor said it's normal. Lots of women get VERY light cycles from the pill, so even if you're not on it it's possible that your natural hormones are just in that mode.

Strangely enough, i'm going through something similar right now...just started light spotting yesterday and today...CD25. i had a regular full period at the beginning of the cycle and used an OPK ever day after my cycle stopped until now...all negative. all i can say is you're not alone; i would be curious though what is going on. thanks for posting!

I must say I am on CD5 triggered by Provera and my doc actually told me from looking at my ultrasound I would have a light flow. He was right on. I have had light spotting/light flow and today it stopped. I was told this was ok. Dr was not concerned at all. I go in Thursday CD7 for a (hysterosalpingogram) HSG test to make sure all is clear. I wouldn't worry about it at all!

I'm having this same issue as well. I have been spotting this past week and it can be anywhere from bright red to brown. Its not enough blood to wear a panty liner, but its there whenever I go to the bathroom. Sometimes its accompanied by pelvic and back pain...thankfully its died down since it first started showing up. I don't know what it is...if its because of the pill or something else...but everyone tells me I shouldn't worry.
