I just started Met and twice yesterday and once today I had a carrot-like structure in my stool. It's got the consistency of a kidney bean, but bigger and it looks nothing like anything I've eaten! Has anyone had this before? Should I be concerned?
I read that with the extended release Met that you will pass something like you are describing. It is kind of like a "ghost" pill. It doesn't contain the medicine, and it is nothing to worry about! HTH!!!
Yep, it's the shell of the pill. I guess it's plastic (or something???) and doesn't digest or break down. Kinda freaky huh?

Yep, I'm guessing that's what it is. The first time I saw them, I thought it was a bean, but I couldn't remember eating a bean that big, lol. It's kind of strange, but nothing to worry about
