I'm a Victoria cyster too! No support groups that I know of.

So that is four of us. I think a support group would be a good idea. I"m sure we're not the only ones that need to share the complications that come with this.
Please email me at rebekaah@gmail.com and we'll get something going if you're interested.
My RE is in Victoria...does that count ?!?
If you guys plan something sometime during the summer when I'm out there...I would love to meet up.
I wish there were more people in the interior that were interested(I see so many women with PCOS in our medical office) in getting something going. My boss has a bunch of knowledge about insulin resistance & sleep and it would be great if he could share his knowledge with those who are interested.
I have a question dh plans on applying for a job at one of the Hospitals in Victoria. We don't know if we will be buying a place, should he get the job. What are rents in Victoria like? What are the currently employment trends like at now?
Thanks.
Unemployment is pretty low right now. There's signs everywhere. I've been at the same job for 7 years though so I might not be the best judge!

Thanks Sandra we figure dh would be making about $7.00 more an hour out there and he would have the security of working at the hospital. If I could get into the hospital doing what I do, I would make $5.00 more an hour over all it would be a significant increase in our income.
However, we just bought our dream home in Kelowna & don't know if we want to part.
I guess time will tell...
We are coming back out to Victoria October 12 weekend for four days. We'll probably stay at the Marriott. We stayed at the Bear Mountain Westin last time but want to be a little closer to the city this time. Anyways, if you around this time, let me know.
I am living in Victoria while I got to school at Uvic! I was diagnosed in March 2008 ( I believe my symptoms became full blown due to the massive stress of my first University experience). I was hoping to find a PCOS support group out here but havent had any success. Any one else have any success? I live in the saanich area, close to Uvic.
Its nice to hear there are other ladies out here that are also dealing with PCOS.
