Here recently I have noticed some changes in my vision. Everything seems blurry to me now. I have an astigmatism but this is completely different. Does that make sense? It's blurry with both eyes now, not just one. It's been going on for about a week. I have a hunch when I compare it with other symptoms but I'm not for sure. Has anyone else noticed their vision changing or is it just me?

Are you diabetic? If so, you need to have your eyes checked. Diabetes can affect your eyesight. My mother is diabetic and when her sugar levels are high, she loses some of her eyesight.
Good Luck,
Lana

See, thats what I had a hunch about. I haven't had my levels checked in a while. The last time they were borderline. I guess I need to go have them checked again. Or just spend the money and buy a monitor myself.

when did you have your last eye exam? i would def talk to your med doc and see about having your sugar levels tested. i work for an eye doc and i know that our docs would tell you to have that checked ASAP (esp if you have had a eye exam lately). if your blood sugar is high, then you are risk for possible serious damage to your eyes. please contact your docs as soon as you can!

I found out that I can't get an eye exam with my insurance (medicare) unless I have diabetes. I'm on a fixed income so I can't afford to go get one on my own. This kinda sucks because its getting worse.

I hope you can get your vision checked...mine got totally out of whack after I quit my BCPS! I thought I might have retinopathy, and I was diabetic...but my vision was just super off! I wear glasses now, every day, and this time last year my vision was pretty okay. I don't know how my hormones could've affected my eyesight...but it had a dramatic effect.

i would go to my med doc and see what he says--then go from there. is your vision staying blurry all the time or kinda off and on. if it is off and on, then i'd say it was related to your blood sugar. your med doc should be able to give you some answers and guide you were you should go! good luck!

I see little dot things at the corner of my eyes say if I look at a white wall or a really pale white bright sky.
I hate that feeling and quickly look away and look at something dark if I see them...
I thought the same thing as you and went to have my eyes checked and the lady said she could see no damage or anything related to PcOS or pre diabetes (I am not diabetic but obviously with PCOS have insulin resistance).
I was having the blurry vision and excessive thirst but didn't take it seriously. I co-worker scared me enough to go to the doctor and sure enough my blood sugar was 480!!! Normal is less than 100! All happend within a week. I was told to go to the hospital and it was a very scarry ordeal that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
Now, a month and a half later - I have dropped my A1C from 11.5 to 7.2, I am off all the drugs and insulin except metformin which I would need for the pcos anyway. I have managed to turn it around by actually increasing what I eat, just spread out though the day and getting plently of protein, and taking Cinnamon 1000mg, Chromium 750mcg, and Gymnema Sylvestre 500mcg twice a day each. Diet wise I have not been very strict and I am still trying to get into a regular excersize routine. My docor is still just beside herself.
My vision is back to normal...but did fluxuate as the sugars came down. It was a very odd experience.
I am the biggest baby when it comes to going to the doc...but had I waited any longer I very well could have gone into a coma or done other permanent damage.
