Default a visit to the hospital, any advice?

I wondered if any one could help, I have been ttc for 8 months, no luck. I am taking metformin 1000mg a day but not ovulating every month. I am not doing temps but I am dieting. Any advice on what doctors have done for you?
Any help would be fab, thanks

Are you getting AF regularly? If not, you may need to have an increase in your Met. I have read that the theraputic dose for PCOS ladies is 1500mg, so that could make a difference. If you're not ovulating, Clomid is likely to be your next step. Have you seen a consultant for this yet? After 9 months on met and no AF, my dr put me on Tamoxifen (3 months and no O) and then switched me to Clomid.
