Reading the PCOS Diet Book, I noticed that Vitamin B Complex seems to be a cure all. I did a search and found a few posts including people taking Vit. B. I'm wondering about peoples' experience with this. I'm taking Met, and soon Clomid. Finished Provera 15 days ago with no luck, as usual, and I'd like a little boost in many areas, but I'm not too keen on total herbal treatment. It just seems odd to me that not more people take this vit. if such a great supp. Any ideas?

I read this in my research on PCOS, too. I immediately started taking my prenatals (left over from when TTC) and an extra B6 supplement. I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but I got AF within two weeks. My last cycle was 76 days long, my longest in three years! This cycle I am taking Vitex supplemented with B6, my prenatal, and Evening Primrose Oil. I am charting my temps this cycle to see if any of it helps. If it does, I will continue it all. If not, I'll try something else. We have sucky insurance right now, so I can't even go get a real diagnosis. . It's home remedies for me right now!!

Started TTC #1 in earnest in 2002--took Clomid 50mg for 4 months. Ovulation, yes-BFP, no.
I started taking B-complex in September 2002. My prenatal has some b-vits in it, but not enough of some the things I wanted. I have more energy and the dark patches on my face have almost disappeared.
Last cycle I took just my vitamins: prenatal, B-complex, extra B-6, B-12, and Inositol, chromium, vit C, vit, E and iron. I was out of herbs and my supplier shipped them too late for me to use. I think I had a very weak ovulation, cause AF showed up about 12 days after the ovary twinges stopped. (?) (shrug) So maybe it does work.
Good Luck to you all (and me too)!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming...
I added 50mg B complex a while back, and noticed very quickly (within 2 months) that the growth of hair on my face slowed by half. I recently upped my dose to 75mg, and am doing great (apart from the neon pee).
Just a note.... if you're going to take a B vitamin, take a complex, not just B6 or B12. Taking only one can put the others out of balance, and cause more problems at worst, and at best may do nothing for you at all.
