I guess I should add vitamin D to my slew of vitamins I already take. I am on Cinnamon tablets, Biotin, Fish Oil, and a Multi-Vitamin. Bottoms up ladies. LOL

Interesting! My endo tested me for it (she didn't seem to think I needed it, but I insisted so she humored me). Found out I was a little low (I forget the exact numbers now, at work so I can't check). She told me to take 1,000 IUs a day. I actually end up taking more like 1,400 I think, with my multi and occasional calcium supplement. Reading what you ladies have said, I'm wondering if that's enough!

Just got my vitamin D test results back from Grassroots health. The level was 31. It said in my results that optimal Vitamin D ranges are from 40-60. I have been taking 4,000 IU of Vitamin D for close to 3-4 weeks, (+ whats in my multi)

Before that I had been tking round 2,000 IU daily scince February. I will continue to take my 4,000 IU per day until my next Vitamin D test in 6 months.

Grassroots health automatically sends a test to me every 6 months, for however long I sign up for. It costs 40.00 per test, all I do is fill out a health questionerre, then poke my finger, squeeze out a few drops of blood on a card, let it dry and drop it in the mail. Then they email me the link to the test results.

My doctor would not order the test results and its soon going to be against the law for some doctors to order tests for Vitamin D levels, with insurance or something??

I just read the article on Vitamin D and it's link to pcos, I came straight to SC and researched in the search engine and got this thread. I will be looking for the highest IUs of Vit D I can find! I know I don't get enough vit d because I stay away from sunlight as much as possible & I don't eat fish because I am allergic, plus more..Glad I researched!
