Vitamin K and Insulin Resistance I received an email (newsletter/advertisement) that claimed that Vitamin K might be useful for people with insulin resistance.
I was wondering if anyone was taking Vitamin K as a possible treatment for PCOS or insulin resistance.
Also what do you know about Vitamin K and Insulin Resistance (or possibly PCOS in particular)? I understand that there are several "kinds" of Vitamin K - at least K 1, K 2 and K 3 - from the email I have the impression that K 3 is synthetic and might not be the best type - but I'm not even certain of that. Also I do not know what dosage might be appropriate - I believe that Vitamin K is Fat soluble - so it is likely that it is possible to get too much and run into trouble. |
