I saw a commercial this morning. They are vitamins for people who take certain medications. One of the ones is for people who take Glucophage. It has B6, Folic Acid, and B-12. There is a link to try it for free---you print out a rebate form. Here is a link to the web site:
I take Natures Made Super B-Complex. It too has B6, B-12 and folic acid. Met does deplete these vitamins so its not a bad idea to get a supplement. I think my bottle was 9.00 at Kroger and if I bought one I got one free (each bottle had 100 tablets and you only need one a day)

That is a marketing trick. It's probably not a bad product but its nothing special.
B6 and B-12 is important to women in general. Like iron some women run low on these for different reasons.
Folic Acid is recommended as a supplement for all that is intending to get pregnant and for all that is pregnant in Sweden.
If you eat well you don't need supplements.

Yep, my endocrinologist has me on B12, Calcium, Vit. D, Folic Acid and Iron (mine was low). He said the Met inhibits absorbtion of B vitamins so it's important to add a supplement to the diet.

I am on Met and found when I was slack in taking my B vitamins I had more hair fall out.
Someone mentioned if you eat well there is no need to take supplements.
I feel this is totally incorrect. Even if you had a personal chef cooking all your meals a day specifically to try and give you all the vitamins and minerals you need - you still wouldnt' be getting enough.
If you are taking MET you should definately take a B complex , folic acid (which is a b vitamin) and Calcium and magnesium is good for a natural way to balance blood sugar levels and to relax muscles . I take my calcium and mag last thing before I got to bed.
In the modern world most people are certainly NOT getting enough B vitamin. B vitamins are especially importan for coping with stress and also things like alcohol leech this vitamin out..
If I was to take any one vitamin or any 3 I'd take B, omega 3 and calcium/magnesium, sometimes C - which I do (well try to remember everyday).
