i have been visiting a herbalist, she recommended vitex to regulate my periods. When I was taking it diligently, it worked. Is anyone else on vitex??? I think that is its name??!!!!

I just got off the pill and having a really long long cycle. I was never regular prior to going on the pill, but I head about vitex anf its potential to regulate and was hoping that it would help me. I only started yesterday but am hoping for the best.
i get periods every month regualry but they last very long and hurt would vitex help with this?

Hey gals...A friend of mine tried the Natural Progresterone Cream...she used it three weeks once a day and about two days after she stopped her cycle returned....this might help those with irregular cycles...some docs says it take 3-4 months to competely regualte you...once you start then use the cream for day 12-27 of your cycle...most people with PCOS does not produce enough progresterone to start a cycle. She was really encouraged by it and it really makes you feel a lot better.
I can't wait to know how the vitex works!!

Where can we go to get more information about Vitex? I have heard about it too, but I am leery of purchasing something that I really know nothing about. And, when I go to the natural herbal shops, the people in there always tell me oh that it will work, and because I have bought so much stuff from these people and it not work, I would tooo like for someone who has had experience with Vitex share a little more with us so we all know what we are facing if we do decide to use Vitex.

You should be able to find info about it on a site that describes herbal remedies. You could probably order it online too. If you have any problems finding info let me know... I'll try to help.

You can get Vitex very cheap on Amazon.com I ordered mine today!!...I have several sites I have with ifo concerning Vitex...I have read it takes 2-3 months to really kick in that is about as much as iI have found I am still looking and will post some sites on here...just do some research and post the info on here when you find any...Good Luck to all!!

I started vitex last week (sat) and af arrived by friday. Its really hard to say if this was because of the vitex or not but i am going to continue to take it. If i see clear signs of O then I will probably stopped till af comes again as that seems to be what others are doing. Any thoughts?
