carrie - why did you give up after a week before? was it from some side effects?

you ladies who are having long cycles - have you tried natural progesterone cream to help induce af?? it is sold over the counter and may help you get af.

Sorry I've been missing lately, i've been checking in on the thread but haven't had time to post. Sorry to everyone who is waiting for AF, it's so frustrating to feel like NOTHING is happening. If it helps anyone, when I first started taking the Vitex, it was sort of sporadic, one dose one day, two doses other days, no doses some days...it wasn't until I took the 400 mg 3x a day every day for about 3 weeks that it did anything for me. And I was suprised, because everything I read about it said that it was slow working...so, don't give up hope. I'm sending af/O/bfp vibes to all of you vitex girls! Peanut, i'm sorry that its been rough for you lately, I totally understand. My SIL is 6 mos pg and all she does is complain about all of the symptoms, and all of my recently married friends are expecting...some days its so hard, but our turn will come . I am kinda in between what I want to do right now, we aren't preventing, but me and my DH are going to Europe for a month as a graduation gift to ourselves, so we are trying, but i'm trying not to stress too much about it right now. Anyway welcome to the new thread members and I hope that all you ladies are having a great day!

I am also taking Vitex (225mg extract/capsule) with Dong Quai (250mg/capsule) both Solaray brand with guaranteed potency- 1 of each in the am and also in the pm on an empty stomach. I have noticed a difference in my temps--they are lower and have stabilized. I had EWCM a few days ago on CD 11 and got excited but it was a false alarm since I did not show a temperature shift. We'll see what happens next...

I had also tried N-Acetyl-l Choleine (NAC), an amino acid, but it didn't do much for my hormones, although it did help with my seasonal allergies (I then found out that it is used as an immune system booster and apparently, it worked for me in that regard).

Just thought I would add my experience into the mix...

AriesBis-I'll probably use the NPC in a month or so. I kinda just wanted to see if the Vitex would kick in and be my miracle herb.

Hi girls. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day . I went to the doc today and my labs came back great! My body does feel like its balancing out a bit more. He was impressed with the effects the herbs and metformin combo is having on me so I will stick with it. Clomid never worked for me anyway.

Aries I tried npc when I had really long cycles (over 100+ days) and it never brought af. It did bring a ton of ewcm though. For some women it works like a charm. It won't harm your body so I would give it a shot.

Aries - I am taking dong quai in pill form. Everything I take is in pill form.

Now, this past cycle was the first cycle I was on maca, and I have to say, it made an interesting difference. Previously I was Oing CD19, CD20 for several cycles, and this past cycle I O'd on CD15.

Welcome all newbies We are glad to have you. It always makes me feel good to know that I am not the only one dealing with these issues.
Thank you to all for the suggestions. I am really interested in taking the don qui, but I can hardly remember to take my vitex twice a day. I am working on that though. I just need to set an alarm or something to remind me each day. I have been taking since feb and still no af I did really well at remembering to take my meds for the first few weeks, but now I am forgeting. Any suggestions on how you all remember to dose. I really think the vitex was starting to work until I fell out of my routine. My schedule at work changed and I haven't got my new routine in order yet. What I really dred it that this is just slowing down progress. I usually remember to take my evening dose, but for some reason I forget the morning. Since I am taking the tincture formula it's not like I can just stick the pills in my purse and take it in the car on my way to work. I do have some pills though so I was thinking of taking those in the morning and tincture at night. Do you think it will matter if I mix it up like that? Ok I guess I have rambled on enough. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Thank you all so much. I really do love checking in and seeing how everyone is doing.

AriesBis ~ I think the only reason I gave up was because I thought I wasn't seeing results, which looking back now I relise was so stupid. I have promised myself this time that I will stick with it and not give up.

Can I ask you all how you take the Vitex? I am taking in in pill form but I am wondering if it it would be better to take it in liquid form, maybe it makes no difference. Another question is, I saw some cysters writing that they take their pills on an empty stomach, does this make it more effective?

Cena - I have trouble remembering my morning dose, too. I'm taking pill form, so I started keeping a glass of water beside my bed so that I see it in the morning and remember I need to take it to the bathroom to take my pills after I brush my teeth.

Carrie - I'm taking all of my herbs in pill form. My herbalist thought that was probably easiest to remember. And I don't know about taking them on an empty stomach. I take mine in the morning right before I eat, and in the evening a few hours after dinner.

Cena I would think you could mix the two. Its the same ingrediants, just in a different form so it wouldn't hurt to try. And isn't it amazing outside today!!!

Mj I take mine in the morning before I eat too. Makes it a bit easier for me to remember because I am a basketcase.

Carrie I take the capsule form from gnc. I thought I would try that first and if it didn't work then move to tincture, but it has worked so far so I'm sticking to it.

I too am aking the pill form but this is my first cycle on it. So we will see. I am seeing that my temps is about the same everyday.

Thank you ladies for your input. I think I will start taking the pill in the morning. I too have the gnc capsuls.

Brandy Yes it is beautiful outside today. To bad I am inside cleaning my house trying to get everthing back in order before it makes me crazy. Tured out to be a good day to shampoo the carpets because they will dry fast in the sun.
