You will find a lot of info on this is the treatments/natural remedies threads... many women have had good results with vitex (I am one of them.)

Chasteberry/monk's pepper/vitex agnus castus has been used for a very long time for hormonal /endocrime problems, before we even had those words. It is great in tincture form (I know we Americans love pills, but a droppered liquid from an herbalist works far better for me & many I know of.) Essentially it is a smart herb and helps to correct hormone imbalances- if you are estrogen dominant and not ovulating, it will gradually bring down estrogen levels and allow you to cycle. If you have a luteal phase deficiency (you ovulate but your uterus gets the signal to shed its lining too quickly and you can't carry a pregnancy) it can help correct that as well.

Like I said, there are threads in Alternative Remedies & Trying to Conceive that have more info- do a search and you'll find a lot.

Good luck!

I love Vitex. I am currently pregnant with my 2nd child thanks to Vitex. I tried Clomid (5 months, 5 o's, no pregnancies), soy (2 months, no o's), Metformin on it's own (6 months, 4 o's) and finally Met plus Vitex (along with some other stuff). I was on Vitex for 2 cycles when I got my BFP.

I took Met, Vitex, red raspberry leaf, a multi vitamin, folic acid, fish oil, flax seed oil, B complex and vitamin E with my DD.

With this pregnancy, it was a complete surprise. My DD is 5 months old and we weren't trying (not preventing either.....). I thought that it would take a while again for us to get pregnant. I was taking a multi vitamin, folic acid, fish oil and Vitex (which is supposed to help with milk production, but didn't work for me).

If you Google "Vitex PCOS", there are a lot of really good resources out there (since you've got under 10 posts, you can't see links yet other wise I would post them). I like the article on ovarian-cysts-pcos.com and early-pregnancy-test.com (they should be near the top of the list on Google), but there are a lot of other articles out there.

GL!!

Hi ladies,

I came across this thread, and I wanted to know if anyone has used the vitex tincture, and if so, did you achieve success?
