I've been taking Vitex Agnus Castus, 1600mg/day for the past 4weeks, and have noticed a drastic improvement on my acne. I'm 21, and have suffered from acne since I was nine. This is the clearest my skin has been, that I can remember. I've also been taking 1500mg/day metformin since July 2002, and it cleared the acne a bit, mainly on my back. Have any other acne sufferers found this success? I'm just hoping that it lasts!

I, too, have always had bad acne. I was on Acutane at age 18 which helped, but Vitex has helped tremendously with keeping my skin oil-free and clear of blemishes.

I've been taking Vitex for a few months and my acne has been much better (no more cystic stuff). I'm hoping that this improvement lasts through the summer...when the acne on my back (which is practically non-existant now) is much worse.
