Hi Stella06!
you can wait and see if Vitex regulated you but most people need to stay on it..but its worth waiting to see if you feel like you dont want to take Vitex anymore.

I am doing good....just on my second day of NPC! I am also waiting for my OB/GYN appointment on Aug. 27. I swear time freaking drags when you want it to go fast! LOL
I love these threads! I wonder if I could ask a silly question...
What is "marking your spot" all about?
Stella - I finally just got my first AF (without medical intervention) in 6-7 years thanks to Vitex! That was 15 days ago... and last night/today I have had the most AWFUL lower belly pains... not like the O pains I got on Clomid, about 100x worse than that. It finally went away, and based on some brief research, I'm willing to bet I just O'd. All by myself. I'm so happy I can't hardly stand it. Hope your body is going to keep doing its thing!

Chalking it up to a learning experience and waiting for another match!
Dana - I wish that for you too. I am buying dong quai today. I really want AF to come without the NPC.... and I really need to order the NPC brand you use, because the brands I have picked up don't have the USP and are no good for, actually really bad for you... so after this use it is pitched, and I will go all natural.
Sassy - good luck with your appt.
Amber - yeppie! happy you are regulated, wish Vitex would have worked on me right away.. my body chose the 6mo plan.
Sandki - hello.
So... now I am adding Dong Quai, and at some point upping the gymnema again.... I have sore bb's now, and lower back has dull strain.... so maybe AF is gearing up, I would be ok with spotting, just as long as she arrives.

Amberlyn - marking your spot is used so you can find the thread. You need to post something in a thread to be able to see it in User CP. If a new thread is started and you don't post anything you won't see it. So some of us "spot mark" and then come back for personal, etc.
OK... so, I had more of my (TMI) blood spotting yesterday after I posted and I spoke to my OB and he told me to count the blood spotting as light AF. So, I udpated my chart and I am back to being on CD3. Not sure what to think anymore... he told me to play it by ear for now.

Letty, I think that sounds like light AF to me. I find that mine gets heavier when I am exercising.
Faith - AF is stubborn, I really hope you get it soon.
My AF was weird too. She was only here for 5 days (when normally I get 7-8) and she seemed like she was having trouble staying steady. It was def. an AF because it was flowing, not just spitting at me, but it was different than I am used to. 3 days after AF stopped it came back for 3 more days, and now she is finally gone. EXCEPT that I spotted (barely) brown yesterday. I'm not too worried about that though, as it was one time, and brown is old right? *strangles AF*

I am so excited, my friends friends mother is coming out from UK on 2nd Aug and may be able to bring me some Vitex - YIPPEE!!!
So, If I get some, I am just gonna start it now, mid cycle, cos it seems to be a never ending cycle..... has anyone else started Vitex mid-long-cycle? Any experiences to share? What mg did you start on? Do you take it all at once? AM or PM?
Thanks xx

Claire - that's great. the directions on the bottles are different. my brand is natures way, it has 400mg per tablet. at the beginning you take 1200mg per day for 12 wks, then drop to 1 tablet a day.... which i followed for awhile. alot of SC are taking 800mg and it's working for them, which i am taking now. But many on this thread are taking 1200mg - 1600mg.. so it's a trial and error. Do you have problems getting Vitex shipped from the states?
Oh, and I read it's best to take on an MT stomache. I do it in the morning.
