I am new to Vitex and I just bought some today. I have been taking Soy CD3-7 and am wondering if I can take Vitex during the days I am taking Soy or do I need to stop for CD3-7. I am just trying to get a better understanding of the routine. Is Vitex taken all month or just during certain cycle days as I have heard of people doing either? Also, any ideas on how much to take?

I take soy also..since ive heard that soy and Vitex can cancel each other out i usually stop taking Vitex on Soy days. You should also take Vitex your entire cycle.
As far as dosage..your bottle might suggest an amount but if not most start with 800mg and then go up from there. I take 1200mg .

Hi Adrienne, I am new to Vitex also, just started it 10th August, and I am already impressed with the symptoms it is giving me. I also heard soy and vitex cancel each other out so dont take the vitex on the soy days. I take 1200mg vitex although my bottle says 1600mg.
Dana, the spotting is interesting, how many DPO are you?
AFM - the temp spike yesterday wasnt a fluke! Woo hoo! So, what could it mean? My cramps def felt more AFish yesterday than they have other days, nipples still extremely sore.....

well im feeling the vitex working im due for my period in 3 days and today i started to feel the cramps so i guess af will be on her way soon. man its been so long since i got a period on my own i just hope shes actually coming and not playing games with me. i had a psychic prediction done she said she sees december as the concive month or birth month or the month i find out. and it will be another girl for me. i just really hope it comes true. shes got a really good track record from what i can see.

Claire- If im calculating correctly i am 9dpo. If i were to test on Sunday it would probably be too soon right? If by some chance this is implantation?

Dana, yeah I would want to reduce my chances of seeing BFN so would wait til 14DPO if you can hold out.... but thats just me, I hate the disappointment....

I hope I don't run out of the NPC before the 14 days, the tube is getting an empty feeling to it already, and I am only on day 10.... it seems like the jars last longer.

Amy- I use the jar one..and it will last me 1 cycle and part of another. i never used the tube one..hopefully you will not run out.

how long have you been taking the vitex and others? how long has it been that you had your period on your own? just curious
a little over a month. and i didnt have a period on my own since may of 2007. i went on bcp for a little while just to get one. i think af is just toying with me i have all the symptoms of pms minus the important part. but im gonna give it a few more days if she still doesnt show im try npc.
