Well I have a question... I started vitex; taking 800mg twice a day as stated on my bottle. I got AF 11 days later. The AF lasted 7 days and was heaving during the middle days. I am actively TTC. Now my question is, how long do I take vitex? Should I stop after O? Continue until I get a BFP? I am confused HELP!
Just wanted to add that prior to the last AF, I have not had a period since last July! I am really pleased with the results. I am also taking Met, but until I stared taking vitex I had no periods with met apart for 3 I had last year.
I am also taking BBT and FF shows I ovulated 2 days ago... I am really hoping for a BFP and want to do the best to get it. Please help with your advice. Thanks.

Dana - i agree, i am thinking about trying it too. at least we know it works for her. i still have an unopened bottle, and 1/2 a bottle left of Natures Way. So, it will be another month before i get to order it.

You can take Vitex your entire cycle...now if you find out you are PG you should probably stop. In most situations ive heard people stopping and if you google it ..it will say stop..but you could also tell your DR you are taking it and see what he or she advices when that time comes. I think my AF is coming, bb's still sore, lower back strain... don't hurt just feeling something. I talked to my mom today, she said when I was living at home I was always on her cycle... which she is getting ready for her AF... that got my hopes up.

i'm here, but lurking! i've upped my vitex and am now taking the full dose listed on the bottle. i spotted for about a week (makes me wonder if that was AF) and now nothing. at least i know the vitex/cinnamon is doing something!!

Ok so I've been reading all these forum about alternative remedies, and I wanted to try some of these herbs. I went to GNC today and I got Vitex, Saw Palmetto, Milk Thistle, Cinnamon and a Multi Vitamin now my question is that, would it be okay to start all these Herbs at one time or should I start slowing and work my way to all of them and if I should start slowly which ones should I start with? My first goal is to lose alot of weight then go from there? Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well I am waiting for AF. I got a weird pregnancy test. All were neg except 1 which only had one "line" and then had a big blob of ink where the test line would have been ... who knows. I'm giving it one more week to get a BFP or AF then I'm gonna start NPC to bring on the witch

Praying For a Soy Joy!! TTC number 2 . Trying with vitex, soy and cinnamon. Throw in a little black and blue cohosh, epo, licorice and dong quai all for good measure.
Has anyone seen AF? She is MIA, if you find her please send her my way. Trying to move on to cycle number 2 of TTC #2

I think its ok to start them all at once..but the only down fall to that is if by some chance you have some side effects you may not be able to pin point which one is making you ill ...so in my opinion maybe start them a week apart? When i started taking herbs i started with Vitex and Dong Quai..you are taking a few more. Hope this helps!

Well, I decided to follow the directions on the Vitex bottle. Today I have sore bb's, lower back pain, and heartburn.... yeppie.... looks like AF is on her way. I may try Don Quai too, once Dana shares why...

OK well here is why...
for the past 2-3 months I stopped taking Don Quai because I thought about using EPO and I read somewhere that the 2 dont mix. Didnt start EPO anyway and then just never started Don Quai back up anyway..i dont even know why..
So for the about the same time..my AFs have been very light almost non exsistent or just alot of spotting. A cycster on another thread suggested some things out of the book she has ... here is the test.
Kidney Yin Deficiency
