Hello, I'm looking to start vitex, I don't want to do a tea, but I'd rather a liquid or even better a capsule.
What dose did everyone start at, and how do I know when to up it?
Also, Anyone have a good place online to buy herbs?

I am taking the capsule form now. I started on 1 pill, which was 500mg i think...(it was the GNCs brand of vitex) and i started spotting and nothing else happened. Now, I take 1000 mg a day. After i started taking 1000 mg daily, thats when i finally had AF, but im not sure if i Oed or not. I havent had one since November...so i was really excited about that! Geez, normal women would think i was totally nuts if they seen i typed that! LOL

I have to take a liquid form of Vitex because I can't always swallow pills, but I have to say it tastes AWFUL!
Even when mixed with juice (which is recommended) it is horrid. I take 5mls a day, but usually it will say how much on the bottle.
I don't know if others take the liquid and how it tastes but this one is bad! After taking it for a few weeks, AF arrived and I had a normal cycle only 32days long.
I doubt you would get the brand where you are, as it is an Australian company.
YOu know, if you wanted to try to get a liquid form of vitex, i suggest try Ebay! TO GO THERE CLICK HERE
I have found ALOT of herbs that are in the liquid form (that i heard actually works better, but not sure on that one) off of ebay for CHEAP! I really suggest checking it out! HOpe that helps a bit!

A good online vitamin co. that I found is www.puritanspride.com They have great prices and seem to be a solid company. I ordered vitex from them but never took it b/c I got pg. I was using the GNC brand but thought I'd give PP a try. They were running a 3 for 1 special.

I use the GNC Vitex, also. I started out with one capsule and just started taking two. I started AF the same day I took first 1000mg dose!

I use the Fingerprinted kind from GNC. I take the recommend dosage, which is one capsule a day. I take it before bed with my Gluc. XR. I started it at the end of May, had AF in July, again in August, and in September. WOOHOO! This is from the girl that was having 1-2 AF a year.
I do take it everyday (as the bottle says) but I know of other cysters that only take it certain days. Since it works for me everyday, I don't want to change.
Here is the link to drugstore.com They have the GNC brand there and they DO ship to Canada. (this bottle is 7.99, and taking it everyday lasts me 90 days).
