vitex--liquid vs. capsule

hi I wanted to know something... i first started using vitex in the liquid form and i got my period very quickly after...i can't find the liquid form right now so I got the capsules from GNC and have not gotten my period. Why did the liquid work and the capsules are not working yet? i have been taking capsules for about a month...thanks.

Hi....
I am currently taking the vitex capsules and after only about a week I got some spotting and then af. I am taking a pretty large dose though... about 1600 mg a day. Maybe you got af from the liquid because the dosage was higher? I do know that the liquid is absorbed faster.... but I think that is the only difference. How many mgs a day are you taking in the capsule form?

Hi, I am taking the liquid form of Vitex.

If you want to order some, here is a web site where you can find it: www.bioplexonline.com. It is a canadian site.

go into the herb section and look for Chaste tree, berry. It is the other name of Vitex.

Liquid form works better because it is all absorbed and with the pill form most likely you don't absorb it all and the dose you absorb is unknown.

I was on the pill form and nothing happend and I had good results with the Vitex in the liquid form with an O on CD 15.

I was on 400mg of Vitex a day and only got a light spotting. I have since increased my dosage to 800mg a day hoping to get better results. If this does not happen, I am going to switch to the liquid form.

Thanks for the replies. I am taking a 500 mg capsul twice a day but I have uped it to about 1500 a day. I definetely have to get the liquid form. It was hard to measure how much I took of the liquid because I used the droplet but it definetely worked better.

I used the tablets and absolutely NOTHING happened. I tried the liquid and 14 days later got AF. I then went on and used the liquid for a year and got AF's frequently and was the most regular I have ever been.
